Savoring Summer Boulder's Best Outdoor Spots for a Cool Sip

It's Sarah, I thought I would start to give you some of my favorite places that we enjoy in Boulder.

As the mercury climbs, it's high time we explore the best outdoor locations where we can unwind, enjoy our favorite drinks, and bask in Boulder's beautiful summer ambiance. So, strap yourselves in as we embark on a virtual tour of Boulder's best rooftops and patios.

Kicking off our journey is the ever-faithful **West End Tavern**. This longstanding gem has been a local go-to for over 30 years, and it's not hard to see why. Its rooftop patio provides an unrivaled view of the Flatirons that can take your breath away, especially when paired with their wide selection of craft beers and imaginative bourbon cocktails.

Next stop, **Rosetta Hall**. This European-style food hall, a recent addition to the Boulder culinary landscape, offers more than a diverse range of delicious meals. Its rooftop is a lush urban oasis, perfect for enjoying an array of drinks from crisp wines to innovative cocktails. Add in some live music, and you've got a vibrant summer hot spot.

For those who crave a bit of tranquility amid the summer buzz, **Basta** is the place to be and my GO TO date night with Brian. This spot combines minimalistic aesthetics with a laid-back vibe that turns patio lounging into a fine art. Basta's drink menu is as thoughtfully curated as its food, offering unique twists on classic cocktails using locally sourced ingredients. Coupled with their delectable wood-fired pizzas, Basta promises a summer patio experience that's hard to beat.

No summer sipping guide would be complete without mentioning **Avanti Boulder**. This culinary treasure, spread across two stories, boasts not one, but two outdoor decks. With its variety of food vendors and creative drink options, Avanti offers something for everyone. As you sip on a local brew or a handcrafted cocktail, you can enjoy panoramic views of downtown and the Flatirons that are simply breathtaking.

Finally, we return to a Boulder classic, **The Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant**. Known affectionately by locals as 'The Rio,' this spot is famous for more than just its authentic Mexican fare. Its rooftop patio, one of the largest in Boulder, is perfect for those larger group gatherings. Remember to try their legendary margaritas – potent and flavorful, they're a summer must-have (just remember the three margarita limit!).

So there you have it, friends! From panoramic views to stellar drink menus and unmatched vibes, these Boulder spots promise to make your summer one for the books. So don your sun hats, grab your shades, and let's raise a glass to sunny days, warm nights, and laughter-filled memories.

Until next time, stay cool, stay refreshed, and remember - summer in Boulder is fleeting, so savor every moment (and every sip).

Cheers,

Sarah
